Catalina White Doves
is owned and operated
by Sandra van Riper. Sandra received a Master’s Degree in
ornithology (the study of birds) from the University of Hawaii in 1973 and
has studied avian species both wild and domestic her entire life. Her
first experience with doves was hand- raising wild doves in Hawaii over 30
years ago. The Catalina White Dove lofts in Tucson were moved from
Flagstaff in 2003 and currently house several species of white doves,
including White Ceremonial Doves for release and “Love Doves” for cage
displays. Her doves have been sold throughout the USA, and her online
course about White Dove Ceremonies
as a business is extremely popular and provides a standard for White Dove
Releases.
Sandra recently wrote a book called
"Wings of White,
Poems of Love and White Doves". It has many poems and
readings for Weddings, Memorials, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Holidays of
all types, and a complete section on the symbolism of white doves.
